Working towards the goal of building lean muscle?
When most people set the goal to start transforming their physique, packing on more muscle density and size, they turn strictly towards the workout side of things.
But remember, if you don’t have a good diet in place, you are not going to see the results that you’re looking for. A lean muscle diet must supply you with more calories than you need to maintain your body weight as well as an even mix of complex carbohydrates for energy, lean proteins to generate more muscle tissue with, as well as healthy fats to keep your hormonal levels optimized and control blood glucose levels.
If all of these are in place, you are going to see that much better results from any lean muscle workout program that you choose to use.
Once these are in place though, then it comes time to pick the best workout to get ripped. Let’s look at a few of the main points that you need to consider in this regard so that you make a wise decision on the program to use.
A Full Body Approach
One of the best approaches for building lean muscle is going to be a full body approach. The reason that this is so advantageous for building lean muscle is because it will allow you to create a full body metabolic response up to three times per week, dramatically increasing the protein synthesis taking place while causing your testosterone release to skyrocket.
Since testosterone is one of the most powerful hormones that you need for successfully building lean muscle mass, it’s one that you can’t overlook.
The full body approach also allows for a maximum frequency in terms of working each muscle group in the body, while still sustaining the most rest overall throughout the week for muscular recovery.
Remember, if you are in the gym too often throughout the week and are sacrificing on recovery, you aren’t going to see the results you’re after because you’ll constantly be in a weakened state.
The next of the must-have’s for a program to be considered is progressive overload.
This is one place where programs such as the P90X and Body Beast plan really come out ahead. Basically, you want to always be placing more demands on your body with each and every workout that you do.
If you go into the gym (or your home gym) and do the same workout that you did last time over again, you’re going to simply maintain the status quo.
If you want to be successful with building lean muscle, you must do something to shock the body so it responds by getting stronger and more muscular.
Finally, the last must-have for your plan is constant change. The Chalean Extreme program is very well known for this and will make sure that each workout you do is something entirely different from the last.
This not only keeps the body guessing as to what’s coming next so that you are always seeing ongoing results from the plan, but also helps keep you more interested in the workout as well.
One big reason that people aren’t successful with building lean muscle is because they simply lose motivation for their lean muscle workout.
They get bored of doing the same workout in the gym and aren’t including enough variety to keep them mentally stimulated.
Remember, a workout is only good if you actually do it, so you must find one that you enjoy and look forward to.
The P90X program is also good for this because you’ll include a wide variety of different exercises as well, not just strength training.
You’ll even get a chance to do yoga sessions that can boost recovery significantly, so it’s a plan that you will want to be looking into.
So there you have some important points to remember as you go about selecting the best workout to get ripped. Make sure that you take the time to do this as well as get your lean muscle diet in place so that all the time you devote to the gym is well spent and will deliver you the results that you deserve.
