Can you believe it is almost Thanksgiving 2013, seems the older we get, the quicker time flies.
So many people ask me about using a “clean” protein source as several have adopted the principle of eating smaller meals 4-6 times per day. But so many sources in the store contains a lot of artificial ingredients and most of it is from commercial dairy farms that use hormones and antibiotics.
What If I Am Vegan?
If you are Vegan, I recommend “Vega” brand protein.
Why Protein Shakes?
We also recommend that one of your other small meals/snacks be a protein shake with a fruit or some nuts.
Protein keeps you full longer and prevent loss of muscle mass especially when you are on a reduced calorie diet.
Protein shakes are also great to use 30-60 min before a workout and ALWAYS immediately following a workout.
Most people does not consume enough protein….whey is convenient, quick and the highest biological value of any protein available.
